Rasayana is a branch of Ashtanga Ayurveda dedicated to the science of rejuvenation and healthy longevity. The word itself means "the path that rasa (vital essence) takes" — referring to therapies that replenish, nourish, and revitalize the body's seven dhatus (tissues) at a cellular level.

Rasayana therapies go beyond anti-aging. They are classified into two main categories: - Kutipraveshika: Indoor rejuvenation conducted in a specially constructed chamber with strict protocols. - Vatatapika: Rejuvenation that can be performed in an outdoor, everyday setting.

Classical Rasayana formulations include Chyawanprash (a rich jam of Amla and over 30 herbs), Brahmi Rasayana, Ashwagandha preparations, and Amalaki Rasayana. These are administered after proper Shodhana (cleansing) for maximum absorption.

At Narayana Ayurvedalaya, Rasayana protocols are personalized based on the patient's Prakriti assessment, age, and specific health goals — focusing on immunity, cognitive function, and systemic vitality.
